John Siegel has 29 years of experience in law enforcement. He currently serves as La Crosse County’s Captain of Investigations, and is the only candidate for Sheriff who has led both divisions of the Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to his leadership positions, John has experience in practically every other aspect of county law enforcement. His time as a jailer, patrol officer, court services officer, and investigator make him a well-rounded candidate.

John was honored in 2009 as Wisconsin DARE Officer of the Year, and has also received awards from the Wisconsin Homicide Investigators Association and the Wisconsin Crime Prevention Practitioners Association - where he served as a board member for almost a decade.
